1965 Barbie Tutti & Todd Sundae Treat set in box! Very RARE HTF Vintage Mattel

  
Vintage Sundae Treat Tutti and Todd set from 1965! These are the younger twin brother and sister of Barbie! Research this item and you will discover it is very difficult to find! This is the only gift set that ever featured BOTH Tutti and Todd! She would not even give them to her own daughter or granddaughter who sadly do not take good care of their dolls.

Box over all is very good but the lid part is missing the cello with the gold foil sticker! I suspect it was because the owner actually played with the dolls (they are loose) but they do not show signs of heavy wear from play!

I think the cello was removed so the structure itself could be used for play as intended. The lid also has tears in all corners but as pics show they are small and could easily be repaired to prevent futher ripping. Fortunately the paper has not been peeled away so the rips are easily disguised!

As mentioned before the dolls are loose as are the accessories but the table and chairs remain attached to the box. The brush and comb are still inside the original baggie but loose inside the box.

Set is missing one spoon and the base of the chocolate sundae treat is half broken. As for the dolls themselves they really are quite minty looking but again I do think they were played with however extremely gently! Todd is fresh and minty looking all way round! Clothing, hair, body, face paint all new looking. Tuddi could use a little hair brushing but her clothing and face are all very very good.

Unfortunately for Tuddi her body has some pretty extreme "GREENING" caused by the materials she is made from which really cant be helped. Some dolls manage to avoid this condition but not all. She has green on arms, legs and neck knob. NO GREEN on her head or face that i can find!! Not perfect but still all original and still difficult to come accross in this condition with the box!

The colors and graphics on the box are still nice and vibrant looking. This is a set that if I cant sell I will have no problem keeping for my own collection! The pieces that are broken or missing (spoon and chocolate sundae) are easily replaceable! The rest not so much! The item "1965 Barbie Tutti & Todd Sundae Treat set in box!
