Barbie VINTAGE Brunette #3 Ponytail with OSS Box Stand Sunglasses OTS + More

  

Feel free to message me with any questions you may have or for additional photos I like hearing from you! Just be sure it's within 48hrs. Welcome to my listing for A vintage Number three brunette ponytail Barbie from 1961 which "may" be among the first issues of the #3.

Please take your time viewing all the photos as they are a very important part of the description. 1 She has no green ear, neck splits, missing fingers or missing hair plugs. 2 She is very very pale white with correct body & solid torso.

Her face/head and body match in tone. In my opinion, she is extraordinarily beautiful from head to toe.

She smells like crayons which is common with #3's. Her body is silky smooth. Her rear end markings have totally faded except for the "Barbie" name which is faint. Please see the photo pointing this out.

I darkened the photos so that it would be more visible. 3 Her hair is very full with cascading curls. A dark thread/string is attached to her topknot. Perhaps this was used with the early production of the #3 ponytails instead of a rubber band.

Her hair did not have a rubber band at the bottom of the ponytail so I have displayed her with her hair down because it is so lush & long with cascading curls. Please note that on the right and left side of her bangs above the temple area appears to have been cut because there are shorter pieces otherwise, her bangs are full. 4 Her solid body has surface dirt which may or may not come off & some red fading on chest.

See photos of her legs arms chest and back. Her fingernail polish appears to be original and is still bright red on every nail. Her toenails still retained their red polish as well. Her lips have three areas where the color has either faded or come off. She has beautiful brown eyeliner and her eyelids are not faded. She has 2 earring holes. 5 She comes with her original sunglasses which are in very good condition, a pr. Of black Japan OTS, original black-and-white zebra one piece swimsuit & replacement pearl earrings. Included is her box which is in fair condition, black wire stand & booklet. Please note that it has a Velcro closure in the back and is a little tight around the waist but the ribbon belt helps to cover part of this area. I have quite a few number three vintage ponytail Barbies but have yet to see this label on them. I consulted a collector who said it may be from a fashion queen doll but they were not positive. Im including it in this listing because it came with her and I believe is to be quite rare.
