Faux # 2 (# 1 Face) From A Vintage # 3 Ponytail Barbie Repro box

  

This vintage ponytail #3 painted to look like a # 2 or #1 first barbie is really neat! Her new face looks much like the real thing, but she is a fraction of the cost. Her face paint is very well done. A doll with little original face paint was used for this project- But considering how bad her face was, her hair is amazing. It was in the original top knot, but that was taken down to clean and reset the curls.

Her hair is nice and light in color- not too golden. She has a small bit of green ear that was minimized with a dab of paint that matched her very light (almost white) skin tone.

There are no nose nips and no neck splits. She is on her original, heavy straight leg body.

Body is in great condition , however, she has spotting and stains on her body. There is something going on with her upper arm and I can't figure out what it is glued crack? Anyway, it's very stable. There are no holes in her feet. She has original soft poodle bangs and flocking under the hair.

Joints are tight and head is a perfect fit. The box is a well crafted fake, but the cardboard used is too thin.
