VHTF Vintage Barbie TM #971 EASTER PARADE Fashion 1959 EXC/NC w/ HAT & #1 Shoes. VHTF Vintage Barbie TM #971 EASTER PARADE Fashion 1959 EXC/NC w/ HAT. This is for vintage Barbie fashion #971 "Easter Parade", made by Mattel for 1 year only in 1959, which is the very first year Barbie was debuted by Mattel. It hurts my heart to have to part with this fashion because it took me so long to find it, but circumstances are such that I must part with some treasured pieces of my collection.
Included are the following pieces. Black coat with yoke back and stand up collar w/ deep front pockets with bow accents.
Apple print sheath dress (untagged as per 1959). Black patent clutch purse with loop/pearl closure. VHTF Black silk ribbon hat/headband. Black #1 open toe high heels w/ holes in the bottom, correctly marked "Japan" on left shoe, and right shoe is unmarked. Graduated white pearl necklace (oxidation to metal loop and clasp). It's in EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT condition! It looks like it was barely, if ever, played with. No seam splits or holes! Bows are still securely attached to the coat! Barbie TM tag securely attached in coat. YKK zipper on the dress works perfectly! Fabric is crisp and colors are bright. The apple print sheath dress is untagged, as this is how you can tell the difference between the sheath that came with this fashion, vs. The one that came alone. The ribbon hat has a perfect headband!There is some fraying to the ends of the longer bottom ribbon on each side. There are photos of this included here. The black open toe high heels are perfect! This fashion is SO VERY HARD TO FIND, let alone in such gorgeous condition!
