Vintage Case with two Barbies and Many Outfits including Maxi and Midi

  

This lot is in overall nice condition. Many of the clothes do not seem to have been played with. The Hair Fair Barbie is on a twist and turn body. She has an earring hole in each ear and just a tiny, tiny lighter spot with a hint of green from the earrings.

Her hair is very nice and her makeup is very nice. SDhe has most of her eyelashes with some of them a little shorter than others. The end of her nose is slightly pale.

She has a green mark on the inside of her left arm and a green mark on her right wrist. She has most of her fingernail polish and about half of her toe polish. Her arms and legs are nice and tight. She has a slight discoloration on the front of her right thigh.

She does not have any neck splits, bite marks or missing fingers or toes or any tears. She comes in a twist and turn swimsuit that is in excellent to near mint condition. The Twist and Turn Barbie looks like her hair has never been down and the rubber band is starting to disenegrate where the sides have been taken up. One of her eyes looks like most of her eyelashes are there and the other eye looks like about half of the lashes are there.

Her makeup is very pretty but she does have a little lip rub. She does not have any earring holes so there is no green around her ears. Her arms are a little looser than the Hair Fair Barbie but they still stay up and hold positions. Her legs are nice and tight.

She does have a slightly wider stance at the bottom of her legs than at the top of her legs. She has a small green spot on the back of one of her legs and a slight break in the skin on the same leg. There is also a very small break in the skin on her left ankle. She is missing the ends of her right toes. She comes dressed in her original swimsuit that is in fair conditon. The orange bottoms are stretched out alot and the top is also a little stretched out. The coverup has some breaks in the orange piping.

She does not have any neck splits or bite marks. The dolls are pretty and will display very nicely despite their flaws.

Outfits included in the lot are as follows and any notable damage is listed: 1. The outfit pieces are in excellent to near mint condition. # 1842 - Togetherness - complete.

The outfit is in excellent condition. The strings on the hat are a little frayed out on the ends. One of the hose has a small opening in the seam of the leg that could be repaired very easily.

# 1858 - Fancy Dancy - complete except for the hard to find hose with flowers on them. The outfit is in excellent condition but the thread closure on the dress missing.

# 1873 - Plush Pony - complete. The outfit is really soft and nice.

The closure on the belt is bent but it still closes ok. The thread closure on the dress has a knot on the end of it and it is a little stretched out. # 1880 - Winter Wedding - complete. The outfit is in excellent condition and is nice and crisp. There a just a couple of very tiny holes in the veil that you have to look closely to see.

The dress has an area around the neck of the dress where the fur attaches that looks like part of the fur could be gone or it is just showing through where it was attached. The outfit looks like it has never been on a doll, so I doubt that the fur is missing from play if it is in fact missing at all. The corsage is in excellent to near mint condition.

#1885 - Silver Sparke dress only that is in excellent condition. The silver is not worn at all. The dress looks like it has not been on a doll. #1478 - Shift Into Knit - complete.

The inside seam at the neck in the back needs tacked down, but the thread closure is still present and very nice. #1479 - Leisure Leopard - complete.

The outfit is in excellent to near mint condition. The outfit does not look like it has been on a doll. #1484 - Yellow Mellow - complete. The outfit is in good condition with the dress a little dingy from age. The thread closure is missing at the top of the back of the dress. One of the hose is near mint on a leg form, but the other hose the elastic around the top of the hose needs reattached. #1799 - Maxi'n Midi - complete.

The blue coat is starting to silver on the belt and the belt is frayed. There is also some silvering around the bodice of the coat. Overall, the coat is still in pretty nice shape. The boots have also started to silver a little bit, but they are not bad.

#3402 - Two Way Tiger - complete. It is very crisp and nice. There are 4 hair pieces to the Hair Fair Barbie that are in good to excellent condition. The case is in fair condition.

The elastic to hold the dolls in place is missing. There are some torn spots inside the case. The pictures are part of the description. The stands and hangers used to display the dolls and clothes is not included in the lot.
