1959 Barbie #1 Blonde Pony Tail 850

  

So here she is, the iconic, the most sought after, the legendary Barbie #1. Yes she has the notable tubes in her feet, the blonde poodle hair doo, gold loop earrings, original sun glasses and unique Barbie #1 shoes with holes, and b&w striped 1 piece bathing suit.

She is here with original box and pink booklet. I do know she is missing the original unique Barbie #1 stand. I've been looking for one for quite some time to make this doll complete.

It's a tough find. Nevertheless we are off to such a great start here any how. The doll is exhibiting some dirt and I never tried to clean her. Her hair looks original and never combed out. Both earrings are bright and round.

The bathing suit has some stretch/flex to it still and the white stripes are on the dirty side. Her shoes are both here and unique to this Barbie #1 as they have a hole through the sole to allow the stand nubs to pass through into her feet. The little pink booklet is here but has creases and bends as well as a few stains in back.

The box is sturdy and provides a nice home, but does have condition issues. A split corner on one end, some water staining, scratches and some all over foxing. There is a puncture hole and it also appears that at one point there was a glue used to repair a split corner. Happy to answer any questions best I can. It was very difficult to make the decision to actually sell my Barbie #.
