1959 SUPER RARE BRUNETTE PONYTAIL #1 BARBIE BOXED! NOTE: I try to take clear pictures in indirect sunlight that clearly show the items natural color as well as any flaws so please be sure to view the picture(s) BELOW THE DESCRIPTION in order to judge the condition for yourself.

I will note below any flaws not readily visible in the pictures. Please feel free to ask any questions as well. CONDITION NOTES: This lovely doll is the first no. 1 doll I have had in some time and this is your chance to own her so please keep a careful watch on this rare doll! She comes with excellent uncut hair that just needs to be reset at the bottom of the ponytail, as you can see. Her face is nearly perfect with the classic peaked eyebrows, eyelashes, eyes, cheeks and lips. She has no green around her ears and her earrings are original. Her fingernail polish is about 90% there. She has a great body with nice almost even toning all over. She is most normal on her head and upper body with very faint greenish tones on her legs, although even this is hardly worth mentioning.

Her 1st issue heels were left on her feet and they are slightly discolored, as you can see. She has no marks, chips or chews. Her hips and arms are nice and snug as well.

Her toenail polish is mostly there and she has her original brass inserts in her feet. Her outfit is excellent showing no significant wear. Her stand is very nice, although it is missing the pegs that the brass fittings go over. I would imagine that these could be replaced, if you like. Included also is a second version stand top, as you can see.

Her box is well worn with tape residue and other wear marks and all four corners and one side split have been nicely repaired. She is from a smoke free home and has no foul odors.

Youll be very impressed with this lovely doll! Here are the markings I use to help determine the number and the year of manufacture of each doll as listed in the title. The 1959 #1, 1959 #2, 1960 #3 and 1960 #4 Ponytail Barbies (stock number 850) are all marked: Barbie TM/Pats. Notice the TM after the word Barbie.

The 1961 #5 Ponytail Barbie (stock number 850) is marked: Barbie ® Pats. Notice the R after the word Barbie.

1962-63 #6 Ponytail Barbie (stock number 850) is marked: Midge T. 1964 Ponytail Barbie (stock number 850) is marked: Midge T.

1964 Swirl Ponytail Barbie (stock number 850) is marked: Midge T. The collection includes boxed and loose dolls, vintage outfits, cases and other accessories.

Surely there is something for everyone from the most advanced collector to the beginning collector just getting started. Please note that the camera picks up lint and dust resting on the items and accessories that may appear as flaws.

Please examine each picture carefully for actual flaws keeping in mind that most of these toys look far better in person than they do in the pictures. I will note in the CONDITION NOTES any details or flaws that are not readily apparent in the pictures but please keep in mind that I sometimes miss a small problem.
