This item is a new "A Droplet of Sand" momoko doll, a 2013 offering by the doll company Sekiguchi in Japan. Momoko is a 1:6 scale fashion doll that is approximately 11 inches (27 cm) tall. It is an articulated doll (moveable joints) with flat feet and has a slim body (slimmer and shorter than the regular Barbie doll of Mattel which is 11-1/2 inches or 29 cm tall). Please refer to the last paragraph in this listing for more information on the momoko doll.
This doll wears a beige dress with a bustier top (featuring white lace-up in the front) and a tea length skirt in tulle. Also included in the giftset are a pair of beige strapped high-heeled shoes and a fabric neck choker with white lace trim. This doll has long curly blonde hair with wavy bangs bangs. This doll is new, never removed from box (NRFB), never displayed, and in mint condition.
It has been stored in a dust-free and smoke-free environment. The photo of the doll outside of the box is the official photo from the momoko. The box condition is very good, the only issue is fading in the color of the top of the box as seen in the last photo. The lighter shade towards the middle of the top of the box was the area that was exposed to light during storage because it was not covered by the tissue paper that initially covered the doll box. Momoko was initially produced by Petworks, Co. Since 2001, momoko has captivated the doll collecting community in Japan and the rest of the world as she reflects the current lifestyle in Tokyo and other major cities of Japan. In 2005, PetWORKs gave Sekiguchi the license to produce momoko dolls and the first dolls were issued in the Spring.
