Barbie VINTAGE Brunette #2 PONYTAIL BARBIE Doll

  

Not mint but nice for display. Authentic #2 Barbie from my personal collection.

When I received her, she had a complete haircut but the scalp was flocked brown so there is no question she was a brunette. Also I asked the restorationist to confirm she was not repainted before starting any work. Head has no repaints, splits, nips, or green. Face paint has been tested to be all original and complete (slight fading to the end of one brow but still intact) with light factory blush and orangy red lips. Hair is professionally rerooted by Krista using product very similar to original texture.

Neck knob feels very secure and head turns properly. Coloring is overall very even with non flash photo included. Slight dark spots inside the earring holes. Body is solid torso marked Barbie MCMLVXIII with crayon smell.

Factory incised marks on the hips from attaching the legs to the torso. Most finger and toe polish with no toe chips or typical shoe stains on the feet. A few shallow dents and scratches from play (after 57 years). She will come dressed in her original swimsuit and vintage gold hoop earrings. I feel confident the doll is correct but there have been a few messages questioning the originality of the face paint.
