Yup, Barbie's got it all, wrapped up in a pretty package: Here's a lovely #5 Blonde Barbie Ponytail from 1961, complete with all of her original accessories! Barbie has her original black/white swimsuit, black open toe mules, black enamel wire stand, blue Barbie and Ken fashion booklet , and of course white cats eye sunglasses. Everything here is original vintage Mattel except for the 35th Anniversary Repro Box, which is a great way to display or store Barbie until she decides which outfit to wear. This doll's hair has been retied into the original style with a hard curl at the bottom of the ponytail. Her tomato red lips had a little rubbing on top and her eyebrows were light, so she has been retouched with water based acrylic paint. She also got a little acrylic color wash for blush. Any of the restoration work is removable with soap and water if you don't like it. She looks vibrant and fresh like she did 59 years ago!

Please note that the white Kaiser doll stand is not included in this sale. If you have a question that I haven't answered in my description, please ask me. This doll has super thick bangs, and she has a hard curl at the bottom of her ponytail. Her hair is a nice and glossy light blonde, it hasn't turned "orange" from age. She does have a couple flyaway hairs, but the hair looks good.

Her skin tone hasn't darkened from smoke or other environmental things. She isn't a "greasy face" doll, but she does have a sheen to her skin. She has a fairly wide head mold, so I think she probably came along later in 1961, as the head molds got bigger the more they were used. Her brows and lips look great, and her blush looks good. No green ears, nose nips, or neck tears. She wears pearl on filament earrings which will never stain her head. Barbie has the earlier Barbie MCMLVIII marking on the right butt cheek of her hollow body.

There is a number 5 on her left butt cheek. Her body is in Excellent+ condition with tight limbs and all of her nail polish. She doesn't have any stains.

She has a faint 1/8 scratch below where her adam's apple is, at the bottom of her neck. You can barely see this in the 6th pic's close-up; I don't think it will bother you. I will note that her right hand has 2 faint indent lines across her index and middle finger, but the fingers are intact. There are a few light scratches across her upper back, but they're not very noticeable. Her original swimsuit is in Excellent condition; it's clean with good elastic at the top, but it does have a 1/2 long run in the top front that ends in a small hole in a white stripe near the center seam. You can see this in the 5th pic, showing the doll on a Kaiser stand. The hole is small, and possibly you could darn it with white thread. Her black open toe mules are marked Japan, and both have splits in the straps, and the heels are a little bent.

They still display well on Barbie's feet: The white cats eye sunglasses are in good shape; one lense has a pressure mark, but the lenses are intact. The sunglasses are the accessory Pak glasses with glitter, though some of the glitter is worn. The blue Barbie and Ken fashion booklet is nice with no marks inside.

The black enamel wire stand is pretty nice and only has a couple small spots of wear in the enamel; there's a very slight bend in the long vertical part. It will hold Barbie securely. The 35th Anniversary Reproduction box is in very nice clean shape and is marked Blond on the lid. It will display Barbie nicely. The box lid looks bright and new. The very top front of the lid has a slight horizontal crease, above the heads of the top 3 Barbie figures; you probably won't even notice it, but the box is not totally perfect.
