Offering a darling early R John Wright doll made of felt named Hannah of the Little Children series. Her lashes could use a fill in, I was going to send her back to R John Wright to have this done, then I thought of you talented people out there that could most likely handle this easy task. You would not want me to attempt to do this.
This is 17 Hannah is created of felt with jointed neck, shoulders and hips. The darling flannel dress has quilted chest area with ruffles on each side of the chest. The dress has nice pleating all the way around her waist that has a tied bow at the back of waist, another ruffle that goes around the hem of her dress.
She has her original under clothing and smoothly knitted brown stockings that go to the leg opening of her undies, worn with fine hand cobbled shoe with little heels that the Wright's are known for with brown laces thru tiny brass grommets. She retains her original cardboard ID tag, I cannot make out her # on her tag, that is slightly attached to the back of her dress, needs a stitch or two to secure. The tag identifies her as " R John Wright" Little Children //Series 1 //Hannah [faded writing] // R John Wright Dolls, Cambridge, New York" The doll was created in an edition of 250 and photographed on page 47 in the book entitled, "Characters of R.John Wright: by Shirley Bertrand Identification and Price Guide. There is no box to store. She is so very sweet to fit in with other fine art cloth dolls or bears as well as with your German characters doll friends. She behaves very well with others. Hannah is in very good condition other than what I have mentioned, no odors or clothing damage. Feel free to contact me if I have missed anything you would like to know about.
