RARE HTF vintage 1950s Bild Lilli Doll 11 1/2 inch prebarbie paper dog leash

  

This extremely collectible doll has been looked at and appraised at a doll show by appraiser Marshall Martin (from Antiques Roadshow)! This doll is a piece of Barbie history!!!

She has been authenticated as an original Bild Lilli with her original hair, clothes, makeup, black poodle dog with leash, and doll stand. She does not have her original plastic bow, but instead has a fabric black bow. Original clear plastic tube is not included, but I have a larger display case that fits everything! This EXTREMELY RARE doll comes with her round doll stand with Bild-Lilli on the sides, doll is unmarked.

The stand has a metal prong so that when one of the doll feet/shoes can slide down over to keep her standing inside the tube. She comes with the original miniature copy of the Hamburg newspaper Bild-Zeitung with the Lilli comic. You can see that she is wearing one of the outfits from the newspaper!

Lilli was produced in several sizes: 7 1/2 to 8" or 11 1/2" tall. This particular doll stands 11 ½ Tall. This doll is the more valuable of the two sizes. She is wearing a white shirt with snaps on the back (with tearing at back), blue shorts, and a yellow coat jacket.

Her black shoes are painted on. Her eyelashes, shoes and earrings are molded on; she has a painted face with side glancing eyes, narrow eyebrows, red lips and red fingernails. Her blonde hair is a cut-out metal plate scalp piece that is attached by a hidden metal screw that was not meant to be played with and is in split curl bangs and a ponytail (Note: this was intended for adult males as a party or gag gift). Oll has remained in her display case and was never played with as you can see from her excellent condition!
