RARE Original 1959 Brunette #1 Ponytail Barbie. From Original Owners & i will be listing more from them. This doll is a BEAUTY but has 1 ISSUE. Her neck has snapped off clean cut.

I asked the owner what happened and she said that her and her sister (beth) were fighting over the doll. With the holes in her feet (this doll) then beth grabbed her head and oops the head snapped off. Mother was mad but glued the head on a couple of times and even taped it on so they could still play. I believe that the neck knob can be replaced. If you know how to do it or brought her to someone that.

Knows how to restore vintage barbie dolls. She has long Beautiful dark soft hair (from the back of her head 3 long) i don't see any missing plugs. NO green ear and she is wearing Pearl stud earrings. I would say her face paint is at 98% (her eye lids need a touch of black). I see a tiny pin prick by her right ear and a tiny bubble to the right of her mouth (maybe factory or glue). A bit of glue and tape residue around her neck.

Couple of marks on shoulders but i think it's liker her calves and will come off. A bit glue/tape residue around and on her neck. Tiny red dot above outer right wrist. Arms have tiny dimpling that i could only see thru a magnifying glass.

Nice straight legs with BOTH Copper TUBES PRESENT in both feet (JAPAN on bottom of right foot). Strap marks from shoes on top of feet. Marks on back of both calves (but i rubbed my nail across them and it comes off). A couple of minor scratches (again looking thru a magnifying glass).

Her face has what looks to me like streak marks, and body, could be that she just needs to be cleaned. Up, but i'm not touching her i will leave that up to the new owner. She will come to you in her original black/white swimsuit, white glasses/blue lenses/and two right foot OT. Shoes (one strap split) not marked.

I tried to really look at her and tell you everything that i can see even using a magnifying glass but. OVERALL (my opinion and I'm not an expert but i think she is BEAUTIFUL and in EXCELLENT condition). She would make a great CHRISTMAS GIFT or addition to yours or someones collection. I try to describe everything that i see.

But now a days my eyes aren't what they use to be. AT ALL PICTURES: as they are part of the description and you might see something that i might have. Overlooked or just plain didn't see.
