Introducing what Barbie cognoscenti say is one of the two rarest vintage Barbies ever produced: The EUROPEAN PINK VINYL AMERICAN GIRL who was created using the standard body, not the bend leg body seen in other American Girls. Chris Varaste, in his remarkable book, "Face of the American Dream", says This doll looked like a High Color American Girl from a distance until you got closer.

Not only did she not have the older tan-tone American Girl vinyl; she was on a straight leg body! Along with the pink vinyl Sidepart Bubble Cut, (she) rates as the rarest vintage Barbie doll. The doll has no finger or toe nail polish, like the last standard body made in 1971. This one has soft silver ash hair with no trims or missing plugs. Her face paint, with wonderful raspberry red lips and taupe-brown brows and rosy cheek blush, is all original.

No earring holes or missing digits. She comes on an excellent standard Barbie body.

Her only flaw is a tiny neck split on the right side of her neck (see picture 10) that has never been repaired. If you don't remove her head, she should be fine.
