Vintage Mattel 1959 #1 Blonde Ponytail Barbie with #1 Stand & Orig. Box + Extras

  
This is a Vintage Mattel Blonde 1959 #1 Ponytail Barbie doll that is in gentle played with condition. Her hair is nice and full, no missing hair plugs. No hair cuts that I can tell.

Her hair needs to be re-set, and the bottom of her ponytail will need to be re-curled. Her bangs are still nice and full with tiny curls. Her hair is a bright blonde.

Her scalp is flocked, and the flocking overall has some wear. Her hair is soft, not tangled. No stains to her hair. No neck splits, no green ear. She does come with earrings. She only has 1 earring hole in each ear. Face paint is all original, no paint touch-ups. She has some paint fade to her left corner of her lips, and a slight hint of paint fade to her right corner of her lips. Her eyelash ridges also have paint rubs. Her eyebrows are all there, nice and dark and arched. Her face is nice and even colored. She does have a faint darkness to the left side of her nose, which shows up more in the pics than if you see her in person with the naked eye.

The spot on her nose is hard to see without a camera. I have not tried to clean her at all. Her body is nice and solid, her left arm is loose when you pose her.

Her finger and toe polish is about 95% all there. She does have some dark spots on her legs and upper back (see pics). Again I have not tried to clean her so I do not know if these spots will come off or not. Her torso in front has a nice pink tone to it.

Her face also seems to be a bit dingy, or has a dirty halo to it, which is hard to photograph, but you can see it. She needs to be cleaned. Her legs have a nice separation and she has a nice stance, one leg is slightly longer than the other.

She does have stains to the tops and bottom of her feet from her shoes, but this is covered when she wears shoes. The bottom of one foot is stamped "JAPAN". She has the original holes in the bottom of her feet. Barbie only marked body, with Pats. Stamp along with Mattel Inc.

Her joints overall are nice and tight and she holds a pose beautifully. I have not tried to turn her head. She comes with her black/white swimsuit, which has a small hole in front on the seam. She comes with sunglasses which are in nice condition.

She comes with a pair of #1 shoes with holes in the bottoms, one shoe is split. One shoe looks like navy blue, one looks black. It just depends on which light you look at them in. She comes with a stamped c1959 box. Three of the corners on the box top have split, and have been taped. The box has wear on the corners and to some spots on the graphics. The box is not mint. The box has some dirty spots here and there as well. The inside of the box top also has color crayon scribbles.

The box bottom has wear and one end has taped corners and a thick spots of tape residue from old tape that was removed at some point in time. There is a box liner with some wrinkling, but I do not know if it is original. The box bottom also has a smaller spot of where some of the white of the box was torn off with tape and the corners have wear. The box overall displays well, but it is not mint. This lot also includes the 1959 2-pronged pedestal stand.

The stand has surface wear and surface scratches (see pic). But no cracks or repairs, no glue, no tape. The prongs do have some light rust from age. The color is nice and even on the stand. There is no other damage to the prongs on the stand.

She is a doll that does need to be fixed up and cleaned, she is NOT mint. She does not have any strange odors, no cigarette smell, no funky odors.
