Vintage Number 1 Ponytail Barbie Lovely Brunette

  
This 1959 Doll has all accessories except original box. Her stand is a reproduction stand. Her makeup is all natural and vivid. Her nail polish is all intact. She has pinkish tinge on body under her swimsuit and red dye on her toes. She is either missing one copper tube in. Her foot or it is pushed up. Also on right hand fourth finger there is either a mold mark or a scratch(see picture). On the bottom of her foot is the square box with Japan imprinted which was originally used by Mattel. So she is one of their first produced dolls. Also, only about 1/3 the number of brunette dolls were made compared to blondes during 1959 so this is indeed a rare doll.

I believe this is one of the first hand painted faces before stencils were used. Included with her is the stand, original sunglasses, gold hoop earrings, black open toed shoes with holes for the stand, black and white striped swimsuit, & first booklet with commuter outfit.
